Mrs Wolland is the teacher in our year 1 class. She has been teaching for many years in various schools, both locally and further afield including international schools.
The year 1 Teaching Assistants are Mrs Sommerville and Mrs Gill. They work in other areas of the school as well.
In our school our teaching staff work in teams to develop the subject curriculum for all the children. Mrs Wolland works in the team that develops art, DT (Design & Technology), performing arts and PE (Physical Education including Forest Schools).
Year 1 enjoys a very wide curriculum within a spacious environment that caters for a variety of lessons that sit within the EYFS and key stage 1 curriculum. You can find more detailed information about our whole school curriculum in the ‘Curriculum’ tab on this wesbite. Below is the curriculum map for year 1, that plots the experiences and learning the children will enjoy throughout the year.
