Year 6
Mrs Gilleece is the Year 6 Class Teacher and Mrs Robson and Mrs Jones are the Year 6 Class Teaching Assistants. All the staff are very experienced having been here many years.
In our school our teaching staff work in teams to develop the subject curriculum for all the children. Mrs Gilleece works in the team that develops English and Maths and has a specific role to develop maths. She also supports the team that develops Art, DT (Design & Technology), Performing Arts and PE (Physical Education – including Forest Schools). Mrs Gilleece really enjoys sport and coordinates much of the school and inter school competitions.
Our year 6 academic year is very rich, full and varied and includes our 2 night residential visit in the Spring Term. You can find more detailed information about our whole school curriculum in the ‘Curriculum’ tab on this website. Below is the Curriculum map for year 6, that plots the years experiences and learning for the children.
