School Meals
Our school Catering Manager is Mrs Groves supported by Mr Hulse, Mrs Plunkett, Miss Groves and Miss Braithwaite.
All school meals are prepared on the premises in the school’s state of the art kitchen and are served to the children in Pensby and Stanley Schools.
School lunches currently cost £2.60 per day.
Classes take it in turns to eat in the main dining room, so that there are not too many children and the atmosphere is calm and enjoyable.
We have an additional team of Midday Assistant and this means that the children have many adults to look after them at lunchtime.
The school kitchen is ‘in-house’. This means it is not controlled by an outside catering company and there is more flexibility for meals to be changed to what the children like and request. We work with a company called RPJ3 who help us to ensure all meals meet and surpass government expectations and standards.
Our new menus have been designed, based on the results of a survey carried out by the School council. It is extensive and everything is freshly made on the premises. The menu can be viewed here:
