 Pensby Primary Governors’ Meetings and Meeting Minutes 

Here you will find information about the work of our governing body, including upcoming meeting dates and records of past meetings. Governor minutes provide a summary of key discussions and decisions, ensuring transparency and accountability in how the school is led and managed. We are committed to keeping our school community informed and involved in the governance process. All governor appointments, resignations and voting rights are detailed in the Governing Body minutes.

As a governing body, we made the decision to follow the circle model of governance in the academic year 2024-25. Decisions are now not delegated to committees and remain the decision of the full board of governors. There are two full governing body meetings each term, one focusing on budget and finance and one focusing on the curriculum and standards. Governors are assigned to oversee specific areas that were previously handled by committees and regularly visit the school to communicate with staff responsible for key areas like SEND or safeguarding. Reports are then prepared and shared with the full board.
